Nomad of the Week is Neha🦘

Let’s hear her story told in her own words!!

Say hi to Neha 👋🏻

Hi, I'm Neha, a seasoned digital nomad and founder of Luova Digital, a content marketing company. Over the past few years, I've blended my passion for travel with my professional life, exploring new cultures and landscapes while managing a successful business remotely. My journey has taken me from the vibrant streets of Europe to the busy city of London, proving that work and wanderlust can indeed go hand in hand.

The Nomad Story

1. How did you start your digital nomad journey?

I work 100% remotely with all my clients, giving me the flexibility to work from anywhere. This realization sparked the decision to pack up my laptop and start traveling, turning each destination into an office and each new culture into a classroom.

2. How do you balance work, travel, and personal time?

Balancing work, travel, and personal time as a digital nomad involves a lot of planning and discipline. I set strict work hours regardless of the time zone I am in, ensuring that I stay productive and meet deadlines. I also make sure to schedule downtime to explore and enjoy the places I visit. This not only keeps me motivated but also enriches my personal experiences, which in turn enhances my creativity and productivity.

3. What’s your most memorable travel story?

One of my most memorable travel stories was during a stay in Hallstatt, Austria. I ventured out early one morning to capture the sunrise over the lake, and as the village slowly woke up, I found myself completely alone, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery. The peacefulness and the surreal beauty of that moment were profound; it was like stepping into a living postcard. That morning, I not only captured incredible photos but also a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation for the opportunities my lifestyle affords me.

4. What’s your biggest challenge as a digital nomad?

The hardest part of being a digital nomad is definitely the goodbyes. Meeting awesome people is great, but it's always for such a short time and then I'm moving on again, which can get pretty lonely. When I was nomading in Europe for four months, I really missed my kiddos (pets), Kiara and Prince, a lot. That time made me realize that full-time nomading isn't for me; I'd rather do it part-time. Even with these challenges, I wouldn't trade this lifestyle for anything—it's helped me grow a lot as a person and in my career.

6. What’s one item you can’t travel without?

BTS Lumo cards! (Yes, proud Army here)

Traveling solo as a woman can sometimes feel daunting, and despite the glamorous portrayals on Instagram, the digital nomad lifestyle comes with its own set of challenges, including loneliness and homesickness. My BTS Lumo cards aren't just collectibles; they're a piece of home that brings me comfort and joy, no matter where I am in the world.

7. What’s the quickest way to meet people in a new city?

Join solo travel and digital nomad groups and meetups. Staying in coliving places or shared apartments is also a great way to meet people.

8. What’s the best travel hack you’ve discovered?

Travel with the same airlines to collect miles and points.

9. How do you find good Wi-Fi while traveling?

eSIM & Airalo are your friends :)

Let’s Wrap Up

17. If you could give one piece of advice to new nomads, what would it be?

For new nomads, my advice would be to embrace flexibility and be prepared for change. The digital nomad lifestyle is as unpredictable as it is thrilling, and things won't always go as planned. Whether it's a missed flight, unexpected work deadlines, or cultural adjustments, being able to adapt quickly and without stress is crucial.
